Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) is an electronic system used to record when a caregiver starts and stops a caregiving shift. EVV makes it easier to submit time worked.
EVV replaces paper timesheets for personal care services through the following programs:
- Consumer Directed Community Supports (CDCS)
- Consumer Support Grant (CSG)
EVV is federally mandated by the 21st Century Cures Act for home and community-based services. The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) must comply with this mandate.
